Revolution Lifestyle, a 24-hour gym in Bangor, Co Down, opened this weekend following a £1.5m investment. The facility at Circular Retail Park features golf simulators, a recovery hub with hot and cold baths, and a nutritionally focused cafe.
The Investment Fund for Northern Ireland, managed by Whiterock, contributed £450,000 of the total funding. According to the gym's leadership, "Revolution Lifestyle has been built with community at its core," offering "training, recovery and social connection together under one roof."
General Manager Daniel Rutter emphasised the facility's inclusive approach, stating the space aims to support members across all fitness levels while fostering "a strong local community" atmosphere.
Whiterock manages over £255m across five funds. Una Warnock, investment director at Whiterock, called the gym "a gamechanger for the local fitness market," noting that the luxury fitness segment is expanding as individuals prioritise physical and mental wellbeing in premium environments.
The Investment Fund for Northern Ireland provides both debt financing (£25,000 to £2m) and equity investments (up to £5m) to support regional business development.
